Testimonials

3rd Grader

My son was diagnosed with dyslexia in the third grade. Since the first grade he
received special education services for reading and writing but by the end of
the third grade he was not making progress beyond a first grade reading level.
I was introduced to Connie through another parent/educator who knew her
professionally and as his own son’s tutor.  My son instantly connected
with Connie.  She is kind, calm, and patient, while also setting
perimeters to keep my son focused. My son’s reading skills improved
dramatically since he started one year ago.  He is now reading at grade level!

4th Grader

Last year, in third grade, my son couldn't read the alphabet. He got to grade level with Connie. Now he is in fourth grade and is still testing at grade level Amazing! This is magical! Alison Svizzero

5th Grader

My daughter is
entering 5th grade. When she started working with Connie about a year and a
half ago so was at a preschool reading level.  The skills my daughter has
learned and the direct one to one instruction can't be compared with any other
reading support.  Connie has been instrumental in teaching my
daughter how to troubleshoot tricky words and because of this instruction. She
now enjoys reading and is so confident reading to others. Caitlin Whitehead

8th Grader

My son was decoding words at a fourth grade level in May of seventh grade and he has gone up to end of eighth grade in thirteen months! Connie makes the sessions engaging and my son was eager to attend because of her patience and kindness. My son used to dread reading and he will read grade level books for 45 minutes without being asked. School work is taking less time than it did in the fall & winter because his reading level has come up to grade level. Jenn Seney
